Lovato -- Mary Lovato, 104, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2001. Mary was born March 11, 1896, in Lamy, New Mexico. She was a long time resident of Albuquerque, and has been cared for by her sister-in-law, Mollie Lovato. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel Tudesque and Catarino Lovato, sisters, Josephine Lovato, and Carmen Salazar; brothers, Ed Lovato, Joe Lovato, and Manuel Lovato. Mary is survived by her sister-in-law, Mollie Lovato and family members, Betty Laymon, Margie Proo, Elsie Sanchez, and many more relatives. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Her family wishes to give special thanks at this time to UNM Hospice: Nancy Costea, Edie Logan, and Dr Jessica Bigney; also to Charlie and Phyllis Madrid, her confidants, Darlene Baca, a very special caretaker who loved her, and to Dominic Baca, her little"boyfriend." Visitation for Mary Lovato will be held Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary's Stover Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Mass Of Christian Burial will held on Saturday with a time to be announced. Interment will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Joseph Montoya, Richard Baca, Leonard Espinosa, Juan Brito, Ernest Madrid, and James Madrid. Funeral Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW. 243-5222.
