Sedillo -- Fidel M. Sedillo, 90, a resident of Albuquerque and a World War II veteran, passed away on February 4, 2001 after battling cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Onofre Sedillo, and by his brothers and sisters, Antonio, Epimenio and Melcor Sedillo, and Juanita and Veneranda Sedillo. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Gregorita M. Sedillo and a nephew, Lawrence Bernal. He is survived by a sister, Emma S. Bernal, who has taken care of him since he became ill. He is also survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Navarette; and several grandchildren; and his special Godson, David Lopez whom he loved very much. Mr. Sedillo was a violinist since the age of 8. Mr. Sedillo is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Veneranda Lopez and husband, Margarito, Ernest Bernal and wife, Eva, Leonard Bernal and wife, Rebecca, Yvonne Sanchez and husband, Placido, Bernice Trujillo and husband, Delbert and Tina Martinez and husband, Gilbert; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; cousins; and many wonderful friends and neighbors. A special thank you to Quality Continuum Hospice, especially Richard Garcia, Rebecca Whitlock, Martha Garcia, Cindy Depping and Cathy Conrad. You will always hold a special place in our hearts because you were so caring to Fidel, even though he was with you for only a short time, you made his last days very special. We love you all! Visitation for Fidel will be held in the mortuary Chapel on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at San Jose Church led by James J. Rael at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Church, with James J. Rael and his choir. Christian Burial will follow at the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Lopez, Lenny Bernal, Joseph Bernal, Eric Martinez, Chris Bernal, and Isidoro Zamora. Honorary Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
