Montoya -- Mr. Erineo Montoya, 89, born to Juan and Josefa Montoya on November 16, 1911. Mr. Montoya was a resident of Cuba, New Mexico and Albuquerque. Mr. Montoya, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2001. Mr. Montoya is the beloved husband of 53 years to Mrs. Casilda Montoya. He is also survived by his sons, Andy and wife, Judy, Lee and wife, Becky, Ed and wife, Linda and Danny Montoya; one daughter, Irene Montoya-Byars and husband, Garry; 16 grandchildren, Christopher, Josette, Andrew, Robert, Christine, Roxanne, Danna, Michelle, Damian, Dominic, Lindsey, Fabian, Jacinta, Raquel, Justine and Adrian; six great-grandchildren, Joseph, Dominic, Savannah, Angelica, Daisy and Jeremy; two sisters, Bassilla Cordova and husband, Paul and Elfides Angel; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Yolanda and Jeffrey. Mr. Montoya, was a member of the Catholic Church, A proud Veteran of World War II, His tour included the invasion of Normady. He was also a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 3 and American Legion Post 69. Mr. Montoya, was a loving and caring husband and father. He was devoted to his wife and children, loyal and trusted friend, adminred and loved by all who knew him. Mr. Montoya, was also a Democratic Nomination for Probate Judge in 1956. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thereses Catholic Church, 300 Mildred NW with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. George Lucero and George Armijo will recite the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church with Final Visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father John Plan, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with military honors. Pallbearers will be Dominic Montoya, Robert Montoya, Richard Lucero, Dennis Lucero, Damian Chavez and Fabian Chavez. Honorary will be Fermin Montoya and Lionel Chavez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
