Sadock -- Dr. Theodore R. Sadock, 92, born in NYC on Nov 8, 1910 went to join his beloved wife, Kitty, on February 15, 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Katherine V.M. Sadock on March 24, 1999 also by his parents, Morris and Ester Sadock; three brothers; Sam, Jim and Billy. Dr. Sadock is survived by his daughter, Ester Maria Sadock (Kukla) of San Diego, CA; his son, Theodore V. M. Sadock (Teo) of Albuquerque, Teo's beloved Kathy; and two grandchildren, Sean Dobbins and the sparkle in his life Alexandra Dobbins; his brother, Jules B. Sadock of NYC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dr. Sadock was a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY (class of 33) and Hahnemann Medical School of Philadelphia, PA, (class of 38). In 1940 Dr. Sadock began working for the U.S. Indian Service as only one of two doctors for the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. He transferred to the Albuquerque Indian Hospital in 1948. In 1950 he married Katherine Van Meter and they moved to NYC where he did his residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. They returned to Albuquerque in 1953 where he began his private practice specializing in Head and Neck plastic surgery and as an ENT physician. The Sadock's were very active socially especially in the artistic, medical and political communities. They loved to travel and went just about everywhere there was to go on this planet. We are sure that Kitty was waiting with bags packed and they are now exploring the far reaches of heaven together. Dr. Sadock retired in 1986 and will be remembered by the many patients whose lives he touched. The Sadock family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Frank Hesse for his help and guidance during Dr. Sadocks final months. A Memorial will be held at a later date for both He and Kitty. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Museum of Albuquerque or your favorite charity. To our parents, we wish you a bon voyage. We love you both.
