Garcia -- Mr. Feliberto ( Phil ) A. Garcia, 79, a resident of Albuquerque was called home to be with his Lord on February 11, 2003. Mr. Garcia was born to Oscar and Mary Garcia on March 26, 1923. Mr. Garcia is the beloved husband of 56 years to Mrs. Minnie Garcia. Mr. Garcia is also survived by five sons, Bernard (John) Garcia and wife, Gina, Parick Garcia and wife, Sylvia, Gene Garcia, Steve Garcia and wife, Elaine, Manuel Garcia and wife, Connie; one sister, Christina Fragozo and husband, Bernie; four brothers, Gillie Garcia and wife, Clorinda, Raymond Garcia and wife, Gloria, Orlando Garcia and companion Tiny, Leo Garcia and wife, Bertha; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary Garcia; and three brothers, Luis Garcia, Phillip Garcia and Oscar Garica. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II, Company B-565, Signal Air Warning Battalion. Phil served his country proudly in the South Pacific. A Visitation will be Thursday evening after 6:30 p.m. at San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Tim Chavez. A final Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at San Martin Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Vance. Pallbearers will be, Bernard (John) Garcia, Patrick Garcia, Gene Garcia, Steve Garcia, Manuel Garcia and Dave Otero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gillie Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Orlando Garcia and Leo Garcia. Private disposition will take place. Arrangements by: GABALDON MORTUARY 1000 OLD COORS RD. SW 243-7861
