Archibeque -- Tony Jose"Archie" Archibeque, 71, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, passed away on January 18, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Mille Archibeque of Albuquerque; children, Larry, Antoinette and Georgiann Archibeque all of Albuquerque; stepchildren, Enola Hollars and husband, Terry, Hazel Lieg, Raymond, John and Chris Harding all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren including, Sara and Kristin Harding of the family home; one great-grandson; brothers, Jack Valencia and wife, Magalena of Las Cruces and Paul Archibeque and wife, Rosie of Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Evelyn Archibeque. Tony is preceded in death by a brother, Adoph Archibeque. He is also survived by his very helpful and caring friends, David Lujan, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Chavez and Jerry and Maryann Candelaria. Tony retired after 30 years of being employed by the Postal Service. He was a member of Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church and was also a lifetime member of the DAV Chapter #3. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks N. of Paseo del Norte) with Deacon Patrick Santistevan, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8321 Camino San Martin SW, with Father James Vance, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Sonny Archibeque, Jerry Candelaria, Raymond Harding, Brandon Lieg, Gene Torres and Norman Smith.
