Bentzen -- Ole Gilbert Bentzen, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, died peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2003. He was born on April 5, 1919, in Washburn, Wisconsin then moved from Ironwood, Michigan to Albuquerque in 1954. He retired from the City of Albuquerque Water Department to a peaceful rural life in Los Lunas, NM. He is survived by a large family which includes his daughters; Kathleen Kingsbury of Las Vegas, Nevada, Beverly Davies and husband, Ray of Albuquerque and Mary Rupe and husband, Don of Albuquerque, his brother; Norman Bentzen and wife, Betty of Edgewood, New Mexico, his sisters; Jean Exworthy of Ironwood, Michigan Jeanette Vukovich of Port Charlotte, Florida, Betty Laws of Oceanside, California, and Lillian Skinnard of St. Petersburg, Florida, his sister-in-law; June Keranen, his niece; Norma Keranen and husband, Tom Logan of Cedar Crest, New Mexico, his nephews; Bill and Greg Bentzen of Albuquerque, Steve Keranen of Cedar Crest, New Mexico and Bob Keranen of Shelton, Washington, his grandchildren; Pam Bryant, Barbara Vernon and Shirley Howard, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Erin Rupe of Albuquerque, his great-grandchildren; Raymond and Mandy Bryant, Kenny and Rhianna Vernon, Robin, Casey and Megan Howard, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives throughout the United States. Ole was deeply loved. A memorial service will be held on Monday, 2:00 p.m., at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, with The Rev. Charles Exley officiating.
