Vinzant -- Ronald J. Vinzant, a long time resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on January 10, 2003. Ronald was born on November 14, 1941 in Los Angeles CA. He came to New Mexico in 1981 from Kentucky. He was very proud to have served over 20 years in the US Army, serving several tours of duty overseas. After his military retirement, he went on to work as a warehouse manager for Quality Imports, manager of U.S. Cotton, and as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office. His favorite pastime was working in his yard. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Linda in 1999. He is survived by his daughters, Inge Bishop of Panorama City CA, Angie Hughes and husband, Greg of Tularosa NM, and Janet and husband, Mike Coburn of Estancia NM; brother, Grady Moss of Scottsdale AZ; grandchildren, Jason, Brandi, Chelsey, Tyler, Haley, and Spencer; his very special friends, Nila and Leonard Baker; and his beloved dog, Odie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 2400 Southern Blvd., Rio Rancho, NM. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with the U.S. Army Honors Detail presenting military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the DAV Chapter 3, 1121 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 Services under the care of Sunrise Funeral Options (505) 891-9192.
