Watt -- Ruth Shirley Howe, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1967 passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2003. Born in Chicopee Falls, MA on May 12, 1921 and raised in Union, Maine. Ruth is survived by her husband, John Collin Watt; son, Colin Campbell Watt; daughter, Susan Watt Young; grandson, John Carlton Young all of Albuquerque; brother, Charles Howe and wife, Anne of Thorndyke, ME; sister, Virginia Howe Delaney of Due West, SC; and nieces and nephews. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, a dear friend and neighbor who inspired us all with her quiet strength and insight. Her family wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation to all of those who assisted us in her care, most especially those of Lovelace Hospice. It was Ruth's wish that there be no services, but memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center, 2901 Candelaria Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
