Pratt -- Grant C. Pratt, passed away Monday, December 30, 2002. Born May 24, 1922 in Powlal, Vermont, Grant proudly served his country as a bomber pilot in WWII, and retired as a Lt. Colonel, USAF, after being awarded the Purple Heart. While he was stationed in the Philippines, he became a Mason. Grant was an avid golfer, until his pulmonary fibrosis would no longer permit him to play. He is survived by his wife, Bette; two sons, Ronnie Pratt and Randy Pratt and their wives, Connie and Paris; two daughters, Janice and husband, Michael Nunley of Ohio, and Catherine Pratt of Albuquerque; grandson, Stirling Carpenter III and wife, Jen; sister-in-law, Johnita Johnson of Albuquerque; stepdaughter, Susan Lepisto and husband, Bob of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Jayme Nelson and husband, Jim; and five great-grandchildren, Kendall Landstrom and Stephanie, Cassandra, Taylor and Madison Nelson, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary in 1993. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2003, 10:30 a.m. at Ballutt Abyud Temple, 6600 Zuni SE. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Ballut Abyud Children's Transportation Fund, 6600 Zuni SE, 87108.
