Thomas -- Vera Ethel Thomas, 92, of Los Lunas passed away on March 4, 2003, in Albuquerque. She was born on July 17, 1910, in Youngsport, Texas to David Pasquel Childers and Tommie Ellen (Morris) Childers. Vera had lived in many different places around the country before settling in Mountainair to take care of her parents who have preceded her in death and finally living in Los Lunas with her sister in 1991. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mountainair. Vera is survived by her three sisters, Lela Fay Leonard, Verdie Mae Robertson and Norma Rene Guilliot all of Los Lunas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation for Vera will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2003, at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2003, in the chapel at Harris-Hanlon. Burial will follow at Mountainair Cemetery. Pallbearers for Vera will be, David Childers, Danny Childers, Manuel Gutierrez, Jody Combs, Joey Eubank and Rocky Clark.
