Chowning -- William"Bill" Chowning, USA (Ret.), 82, a resident of New Mexico since 1958, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Louise Chowning of Moriarty, NM; son, Patrick Chowning and wife, Wendy of Fallbrook, CA; daughter, Luanne Chowning of Albuquerque; son, Ralph Chowning and wife, Kathy of Moriarty, NM; grandson, Todd Chowning of Corrales, NM; granddaughter, Michelle Clark of Albuquerque; grandson, Tommy Clark of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Valerie Raskob and husband, Chris of Columbus, IN; grandson, Clayton Chowning of Moriarty, NM; and great-grandchildren, Chaz Clark of Albuquerque and Micaela Clark of Temecula, CA; brother, Bob Chowning of Davenport, OK. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Chowning and grandson, Scott Chowning. Mr. Chowning served as a captain in the US Army receiving his commission at West Point. He loved to travel and fish. Services will be held Friday, May 2, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Chowning, Tommy Clark, Clayton Chowning, Valerie Raskob, Chaz Clark, and Michelle Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Nau, Ralph Nau and Ben C. Hernandez.
