West -- Joanna B. West, 77, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, May 5, 2003. She was born in Texas but was raised in Pie Town, NM and moved to Albuquerque in 1947. She is survived by her daughter, A'Dana Fowler and husband, Wayne of Albuquerque; son, Pastor Sid West and wife, Peggy of Los Lunas; grandchildren, Jerry Edmond Welch, Amy Welch and fiancee, Justin Wittosch, Kandy Behn and husband, Dr. Devin Behn, Cindy Fletcher and husband, Brian Fletcher and Christina West and fiancee, Steven Bentley; four great-grandchildren; brother, Milton Baldwin and wife, Flossie of Jackson, TN; sister, Lilly Wadley and husband, Bill of Amarillo, TX; sisters-in-law Naomi Baldwin of Albuquerque, Gladys Baldwin of Las Vegas, NV and Lois Morrison of Lubbock, TX; and many, many nieces, nephews, and her friends, neighbors and church family at Sandia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lewis S. West in February 2003, parents, Byron and Anna Baldwin; brothers, Howard, Porter, Floss and Bill; and sisters, Tressa and Bessie. Mrs. West worked for 23 years at Sandia Labs in data entry. Services will be held Friday, May 9, 2003, 10:30 a.m., at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. NE, with Dr. Robert J. Butler and Pastor Sid West officiating. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Kevin Behn, Ed Welch, Steven Bentley, Justin Wittosch, Tad West, and Truman West. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrel Baldwin, Milton Baldwin, Arlen Baldwin, Reggie Baldwin, Al Farmer, R.C. Holley, Bill Wadley, Joe Rhodes, Mike Riley, and Bryon Baldwin. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Thursday, May 8, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 8100 Mountain Rd.
