Konwin -- Nancy Moreland Konwin, age 67, of Albuquerque, NM died on Tuesday, May 13, 2003, of a massive heart attack. She had been in declining health for about the last five years. She is survived by her loving husband of over 45 years, H.C. (Chet) Konwin; and children, Harry C. and wife Chris Konwin of Albuquerque, Nicholas Konwin of Albuquerque, Matthew Konwin of Reno, NV, Maryangela and husband, Andy Schug of Moriarty, NM, and Vickie and husband, Lou De Marco of Sparks, NV; five grandchildren; brother, Richard and wife, Mary Jane Moreland; sisters, Mrs. Josephine Schaub, and Thelma and husband, Melvin Kolodziejski, all of Toledo, OH; numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her father and mother, C.I. and Mary Moreland; brother, Albert Moreland and sister, Mrs. Charlotte Carpenter. Mrs. Konwin retired in September 2000, because of health conditions from the Lovelace Medical Center as Senior Data Technician. She had been employed by the L.M.C. for nearly 28 years in various assignments in Systems Support and Data Processing Operations. Prior employment reflected Systems Advisor for the Western Auto Corporation, Training Supervisor for the Owens-Illinois Glass Corporation. Senior Keypunch Operator for the Gulf Oil Corporation, and Instructor for the I.B.M. Service Academy. After high school graduation, she attended and completed a Data Processing/Keypunch Program offered by the IBM Services Academy in Toledo, OH. Having attained the highest grade upon completion, she was offered a post as instructor at the academy. Additionally, Mrs. Konwin had completed various in-house courses offered by the relative employers in Data Processing Support and Operations, and Supervisory Functions. In early years, Mrs. Konwin enjoyed bowling, played cards, and travel with the family. Recently, she became an avid reader, enjoyed some travel and visiting with her grandchildren when practical. Private Funeral services were held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary in Albuquerque, NM with Deacon Frank See officiating.
