Sandoval -- Jane Proctor Sandoval, 56, died Monday evening, March 17, 2003. A resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jane lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for the last six months of her life with her brother and family. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, A. David Sandoval. Jane and David both spent their careers in Washington, D.C. Jane was a computer systems analyst for the U.S. State Department and David was an economist for the Department of Energy. In 1995 they retired and moved to Albuquerque which was David's home. Jane spent her undergraduate years at St. Andrews Presbyterian College and did her graduate work at Georgetown University. In addition to her professional contributions, Jane devoted much study and volunteer time to the areas of archeology, paleontology and anthropology. She and David were also avid travelers. Jane is survived by her brother, Rev. Allen Proctor, wife Cheryl; nephew, Stephen; niece, Jesse, of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Consuelo Sandoval and her partner, Frank Lupo of Los Angeles; sister-in-law, Anita Sandoval and nephew, David Bowen of Greenfield, Wisconsin; and nephew, John Bowen of Lewisville, Texas. A graveside memorial service will be held in Santa Fe at the Santa Fe Memorial Gardens, 417 East Rodeo Rd., on Sunday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's name to the Albuquerque Community Foundation, 3301 Menaul Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, NM 87176, either for the Sandoval Endowment for Music Education, or the Sandoval Endowment for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History.
