Hatchell -- Hattie Frances Susie Carmichael Hatchell, a long time resident of Albuquerque and New Mexico was born in Blueridge, TX on July 24, 1915. She is survived by her daughter, Glynnie Franchini and husband, Gene; sons, Jon Michael Hatchell and wife, Dottie, Jeffrey Lee Hatchell and wife, Heidi Reinhart; grandchildren, Pamela Trent and husband, Martin, Jamie Elias and wife, Carla Wersonick, Gina Franchini and husband, Eddie Landis, Nancy J. Franchini, Trevor Hatchell and fiancé, Erica Schmidt, Samuel Hatchell, Bridget, Drew and Pietre Hamblin-Hatchell, Ingrid, Ian and Theodore Hamblin, and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Hatchell is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Glenn Hatchell; son, Neal Talmadge Hatchell; granddaughter, Lori Jan Franchini-Basham; and grandson, Christopher Talmadge Hatchell. Frances and Melvin were married in 1936 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Frances was a long time member of the First Methodist Church and most recently a member of Heights Christian Church. She was active in 4-H as a director, a co-owner-operator of Fran-Tula Ceramics in Old Town in the late 1940 s, and retired in 1977 after twenty-five years as a food service supervisor at Presbyterian Hospital. Mrs. Hatchell's main interests were cook outs with family, reading, bridge, knitting, gardening, the theater, and water exercise at the YMCA. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual NE, with Pastor Don Kimbro officiating. Pallbearers will be Jamie Elias, Trevor Hatchell, Samuel Hatchell, Martin Trent, Kirk Hatchell, Jim Hatchell, and Ian Hamblin. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A very special thanks to all of the staff at Manor Care on Lester NE, especially to Lynn Anderson, Delana Nedler, and Elva Franco.
