Garcia -- Benjamin Garcia Sr., 94 who was born in San Antonito, New Mexico on December 7, 1908, passed away May 27, 2003. He moved to Albuquerque and married his loving wife, Mary Perea in 1931. They were both very active as Christian Catholics in their beautiful church of San Ignacio. They both attended Mass daily all of their lives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary P. Garcia, son, Ben Garcia Jr., and four of his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Sally Lopez, Maurice Garcia and wife, Flora, Mabel Felix and husband, Joe, Deacon Pilar Garcia and wife, Viola, and Fay DeChavez; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Rosary for Mr. Garcia will be recited Thursday, May 29, 2003, 7:00 p.m., at San Ignacio Catholic Church, 1300 Walter NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 30, 2003, 12:00 noon, at San Ignacio Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Hillcrest Funeral Home 225 San Mateo NE 265-5959
