Maestas -- Eloy Maestas died Saturday, June 14, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 95. Mr. Maestas is preceded in death by his parents, Rufino and Adelaida Maestas, wife, Quiterita Maestas, and sons, Henry and Benjamin Maestas. His is survived by 15 children, Alviria Rogers and husband, James, Alda Najera and husband, Jesus, Leonard Maestas and wife, Sarah, Velma Martinez and husband, Zeb, Viola Durham and husband, Mike, Gloria Walker and husband, Dan, James Maestas Sr., Natalie Ornelas and husband, Manuel, Theresa Herron and husband, Smitty, Dolores Black and husband, David, Rita Clifton and Joseph Trujillo, Flelisario Maestas and Arlene Valencia, Eloy Maestas Jr., Debbie Owens and husband, Rick and Julian Maestas; brother, Guiermillo Maestas; 55 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Mr. Maestas will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM. Funeral Services for Mr. Maestas will be held on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santo Nino Cemetery in La Jara, NM.
