Lively -- Edna Hull Lively, native of Albuquerque, born December 5, 1902, passed away Friday, June 20, 2003. She is survived by her sister, Elsie Banes; nephews, Thomas Banes and Richard Banes; nieces, Nancy Banes Calahan, Betty Reed and Norine Shaul; and numerous grandnieces and nephews. Edna married William Lively, owner of Lively Equipment Company, May 14, 1934 and they remained married for 33 years until his death in 1967. Edna graduated from Albuquerque High School and after graduation worked as a secretary for the president of Anderman Balcomb and Glasbrook Insurance Company. After her retirement, Edna became very involved with the Santa Fe School for the Deaf and was a member of the Board of Regents. She learned sign language as a result of her involvement with hearing impaired and developed a version of sign language that made communication easier. It was published in 1966 and used in schools all over the United States. Private services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2003. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
