Weber -- Emile D. Weber, 82, passed away June 28, 2003, after a long valiant struggle with many medical problems. He was born September 26, 1920 in Cleveland, ND to Alfred and Amelia Weber. The family moved to the Billings, MT area when he was 8. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Olive Weber of Albuquerque, NM; two daughters, Emily Hall of Killeen, TX and Gerry Copeland and husband, Richard of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Ruth Debus of Rosebud, MT; sister-in-law, Eula Aukshun of Billings, MT; granddaughters, Barbara Chamberlin and husband, Chris of Las Cruces, NM, and Kristin Wilton and husband, Tom, of Ft. Sumner, NM and two great-granddaughters, Allison and Abby of Ft. Sumner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Emile retired from the US Army as CWO3 in 1968, a veteran of WWII (Bronze Star recipent) and the Korean War. He held a variety of civilian positions in many places, before finishing his working career as VA-FHA New Home Inspector in Albuquerque in 2001. He was a Mason, member of Sandia Mt #72 and a 32 Scottish Rite member of Panama Canal Consistory. He was also a member of VFW, DAV and The American Legion. He was respected by many people for his honesty, integrity, and compassionate support. He loved hearing and sharing a good joke and creating wooden objects. Emile and Olive enjoyed traveling and RVing. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. A memorial service will be held at Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE on Tuesday, June 1, 2003 at 3:00 p.m., following a viewing at 2:00 p.m. Commital services will be on Thursday, July 3 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
