Zolecki -- Richard A. Zolecki, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away July 16, 2003. He was born on January 28, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI. Richard was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Prior to retirement, he was an accountant and Ship Chandler for the Port Of Milwaukee, owner of Milwaukee Marine Supply. Richard was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, and loved cheering on the Lady Lobo's Basketball team. He was an active member of the Meadowlark Senior Center and enjoyed spending time with his fellow bridge club players. But most notably, he was an exceptionally devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Florence Zolecki; his cherished children, Rev. Richard A. Zolecki and wife, Mary of Jeanerett, LA, Dr. Beth Melka Sanchez and husband, Bert of Albuquerque, Tom Zolecki and wife, Rodie of Co. Springs, CO., and Stephen Zolecki and wife, Elizabeth of Trinity, TX.; grandchildren, Amy Bishop and Michael S. Melka; former son-in-law, Michael H. Melka; two great-granddaughters and a host of loving friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options (Rio Rancho) with a reception to follow.
