Emig -- Frank Reimer Emig, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Saturday, July 12, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elsie; children Frank R. Emig II and wife, Karen; Dee Slenes and Elizabeth Emig; six grandchildren, Heather Fulton, Ken Emig, Katherine Emig, Shawn Slenes, Chad Slenes, and Kevin Emig and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Emig was born Tuesday, March 30, 1915 in Wadsworth, OH to Carrie and George Emig, the youngest son of nine children. He was preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters. Frank was retired from Sandia National Laboratories. He was a member of the Wadsworth Masonic Lodge for 60 years and the Santa Fe Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Emig was also a member of the Orchid Society and the Gem and Mineral Club. His hobbies were orchids, Lapidary, stamp and coin collecting. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa who was loved deeply by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, July 18, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Memorial Lodge #1 officiating. Ennichement has taken place at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
