Lawson -- Fay Lawson, 82, a resident of Albuquerque died August 4, 2003. She was born January 23, 1921 to Jesse and Fern Sayre in Corry, PA and grew up in Spartansburg, PA. She is preceded in death by husband, Frank in 1995; and two brothers, Victor in 1991 and Jesse, killed at the Battle of the Bulge in 1944. She is survived by one daughter, Caroline Lawson of Albuquerque and a nephew, Johannes Sayre of Kingston, NY. Fay worked at Raymond Mfg. In Corry until 1950, where she met her husband, Frank. They were married in 1947. She lived in Corry, PA until moving to Albuquerque in 1971. She loved New Mexico. Known to all as sweet and loving, as well as feisty, outspoken and for her love of people and animals. She was an avid follower of national politics and current affairs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2003 in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors with Mr. Harold Johnson officiating. She will be buried with Frank in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Arrangements are under the direction of: Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE 884-1188
