Silva -- Maria"Cora" Silva, 61, passed away on July 30, 2003. She was born on May 16, 1942 in Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Silva is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Silva and brother, Gilbert Tapia. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Silva and fiance, Joey Aragon; step-daughters, Charlotte Archuleta and Marie Bowman and husband, Jay; Godson, Derek Tapia; brothers, Martin Tapia, Albert Tapia and wife, Doreen, Michael Tapia and Vidal Tapia and wife, Joyce; sister, Lorraine Tapia and fiance, George Giron; sister-in-law, Cecilia Tapia; and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Maria will be deeply missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Tapia, Albert Tapia, Michael Tapia, Vidal Tapia, Donny Tapia and Derick Tapia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Aragon and Jay Bowman.
