Garcia -- Jose Jubencio Garcia born on January 25, 1920 to Luz and Cristobal Garcia in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. He moved to Albuquerque in 1955 where he lived until his death on Friday, March 28, 2003 after an extended illness. Mr. Garcia is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Garcia; sons, Jose J. (Sonny) Garcia Jr. and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque, Christobal Garcia and wife, Patsy of Giblert, AZ; daughter, Dolores Good and husband, Bob Burkhalter of Albuquerque; step-sons, Arthur Johnson Jr. and Wesley Johnson both of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Margaret Ruth Selmier of Indiana; sister, Renugia Atencio and family of Albuquerque, the family of his deceased sister, Lola Martinez. he was known as"Papa" to his five grandchildren and his three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. His extended family include Juan and Dolores Romero, Cecilia Campos, Chica Lopez and families of Tierra Amarilla, NM, Michael and Mickey Romero and family of Salt Lake City, UT. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The family would like to thank the stafff at the Albuquerque Care Center for the wonderful care given to our loved one during his illness.
