DOUVILLE -- Keenan James Douville, a student at Sandia High School, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. Smile. Maybe Keenan smiled so often because he had no hate. Maybe he was simply born happy and stayed that way. Whatever the reason his smile stayed with him throughout the 16 years he lived. And Keenan still lives. That's the impact he has had on anyone ever acquainted with him. His smile went so much deeper than can be explained. When Keenan smiled, he set the world on fire; he touched hearts with his unforgettable soul. Things didn't seem to always come easily for Keenan and yet throughout his struggles, he never lost his faith. "It's all good," was his favorite saying. He saw good in all things and never had anything bad to say about any other person. All are blessed who had Keenan in their lives. When asked, "What's the meaning of life?" Keenan's quick answer was, "Love. We need to love one another." He was so looking forward to getting his braces off; driving his car; improving his skate-boarding talent; continuing his work at Industrial Rideshop; and graduating from High School in 2005. The memory of his smile and his many gentle gifts will live on in our hearts forever. Who could forget such an amazing son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandchild and friend. Keenan is survived by his parents, Kevin and Rhonda; sister, Morgan; grandparents, Jim and Pat Morgan and Sally Douville; great-grandfather, Jim Morgan Sr.; uncles and aunts, Tom and Danielle Trodden, Debra and David Wesbrook, Desiree Douville and Bryce Douville; cousins, Matthew and Taylor Trodden, Jennifer and Christopher Wesbrook, and Aarmon and Jarell Douville; and many loving relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Keenan's memory to Calvary Skate Ministry, c/o Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87109.
