FORT -- James Fort, 80, a resident of Fence Lake, NM, died Saturday, August 30, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Fort of the family home; daughters, Darlene Hubbell of Las Cruces, NM and Cindy La Rochelle and husband, Eric of Tumwater, WA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Ina Davis of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his son, Jim Ed; his parents; and his first wife, Shirley. James served his country in WWII serving in the US Army and received many medals of honor. Cremation has taken place per Mr. Ford 's wishes. Memorial service will be held Monday, September 8, at 11:30 a.m. in Fence Lake Community Center. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
