DAWSON, MILES L. (ROY) from Tucson, AZ went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 16, 2015. Born in Norman, OK in 1928, Roy spent his childhood there. He served his country in the army during the Korean War where he was a Prisoner of War for 27 months. Later he earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. He married Johanna Mochow on August 28, 1954 and moved to Albuquerque where they lived until 2014. Roy was a member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church for 57 years. He volunteered building and repairs for small churches around New Mexico and Alaska. He loved astronomy, woodworking and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Johanna Mochow Dawson; his daughters, Sandra (Brian) Steely and Denise Johnston; his grandchildren, Cheryl, Jeremy, and Merrilee Steely, and Elissa and Daniel Johnston.
