HALE, BRUCE WADE Bruce Wade Hale, 65, a well-known balloonist and Albuquerque businessman, passed away February 12, 2015. Bruce was a successful businessman, a New Mexico contractor, and an avid outdoorsman and adventurer. He served on the Board of Directors of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta from 1990 to 2009. He went further to serve as President of the Fiesta in 1995 and 1996, as well as numerous related commissions and boards to perpetuate the sport of ballooning in Albuquerque and around the World. He was a recipient of the Sid Cutter Award in 1997 and a Bronze Medal in the World Air Games in Seville Spain in 2001. He was a lifetime member of the Montgolfier Society as well as the Albuquerque Aerostat Ascension Association. His love for the art and sport of ballooning is carried on by so many people who he taught, mentored and touched in his life. His passion was contagious and his love for people was paramount in his life. He is survived by daughter, Katie, and husband, Kevin Riley, of Albuquerque; their son, Noah Altamirano; his son, Joe Hale, and wife, Kendra, of Bosque Farms, NM; their children, Colton Hale, James Hale and Stephanie Hale; his daughter, Jenny, and husband, Julian MacDonough, of Bellingham, WA; their daughter, Mia MacDonough; his son, Nathan Hale, and wife, Alex Hale, of Colorado Springs, CO, and their sons, Patrick Hale and Theodore Hale. He is also survived by his Mother, Marilyn V. Hale, of Albuquerque, NM; his brother, Lee Hale, of Snowflake, AZ, and his brother, John Hale, of Albuquerque, NM. He also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also touching Bruce's life were his wife, Marcie Neville, his wife, Glynnette Hale, and countless close friends and loved ones. Bruce was preceded in death by his Father, James R. Hale. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Avenue SW in Albuquerque. Following the service, a procession will leave from the church, continue through Balloon Fiesta Park and will conclude at Sunset Memorial Park for interment. A Reception to celebrate his life will be held immediately after interment at 830 Foxcroft Loop in Bosque Farms. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Bruce W.
