HAMPTON, RONALD 1962-2015 Ronald W. Hampton, age 52, a resident of Rio Communities, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. He was born on September 30, 1962 in Pampa, Texas. Ron served in the Air Force from 1982-1992 and in the New Mexico Air National Guard from 1992-2010. He was stationed in many places in the world, including Guam, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Iraq, Texas, Oklahoma and Kirkland Air Force base in New Mexico. Ron was awarded over 26 medals and many ribbons. He was a member of the Original Founders Group and the city of Rio Communities Incorporation Committee. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hampton and Gloria (Sweetapple) Hampton. He is survived by his sister, Carol of Rio Communities; brother, Charles of Buford, GA; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 31 at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel with a visitation at 9:30 AM followed by the service at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow in the reception room. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron's name to the Wounded Warriors Project or New Mexico Paws and Stripes.
