DAVIS, VICENTE NEWTON Vicente Newton Davis (Vinnie), loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on January 23, 2015. He was an avid outdoorsman - fishing, hunting and trap-shooting whenever he could. Vin also had a giving spirit, sharing his good fortune with charities such as Schools for Africa and local food banks. As a Veteran, he also supported fellow servicemen and women with PTSD. He is survived by his children, Vern Nicole Davis-Showell and Jamal Atiim Davis; grandchildren, Davis Robert Showell and Teah Katherine Showell, and his siblings, Marie Clark, Dolores Joshua, Edna Hogan, Ricardo Davis, and Arthur Davis. He also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. Vin was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Alma, and his sister, Gloria Davis. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. A repast will follow at his residence.
