GRIZAFFI, VALERIE ANN Age 60, of Albuquerque, NM, went to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 19, 2015. Valerie was born in Albuquerque, NM on February 11, 1954. She grew up there with loving and supportive parents, Estelle and Robert Czerepak. She graduated from Eldorado High School and started working in the restaurant business. Her exemplary work ethic, attention to detail, love and understanding of people, opened doors to become a general manager at several prestigious hotels and restaurants. Valerie's latest title was a retail/catering manager for Aramark at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center. She loved helping others and enjoyed organizing high quality results in all of her projects. Valerie truly felt blessed to work with all of her associates and patrons of UNMSRC. She was married to Ken Grizaffi on October 10, 1992. They shared laughs, worked closely together managing several different business, spoke life and encouragement into the lives that they came across, and always displayed their close friendship to each other and those that entered into their loving-kindness. Their lives were highlighted with a deep commitment to loving each other. Ken passed away eight years ago and they are happily joined together once again. Valerie loved cooking decadent dishes, entertaining guests and sharing time with her family. Her positive nature, exemplary work ethic, kind ear, and loving ways will be sorely missed. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and filled her surroundings with beauty by word and deed. Valerie carried a warm countenance from living a life of giving. She is survived by her loving and caring step-children, Gary and Nan Grizaffi, Nicole Scordato; grandchildren, Ben and Miranda Grizaffi, Oliva and Caterina Scordato; siblings, Wendy Doyle, RJ and Pam Czerepak, James Czerepak, and Rick and Shelia Czerepak; nieces and nephews, Michael Czerepak, Renee Czerepak, Kristi and Arthur Miller; great-nieces and nephews, Ben Miller, Parker Miller and Eliana Miller. The service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, 4:00 p.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW. Contributions can be made in her name to the cancer society.
