BECK, MARY WOODROW Mary died peacefully the night of December 7th following a brave fight with cancer. She was born to Matthew and Thelma Woodrow on February 10, 1945 in Billings, Montana. Her two children were born in Billings where she worked in the insurance business until her move to New Mexico in 1978. Still in the insurance profession she entered the world of ballooning earning her pilot's license and flying her own balloon, Bright Future, in all the major ballooning events and serving on the board of the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. After achieving her degree in respiratory therapy from the University of Albuquerque she had a career with Presbyterian Health Center until her retirement in 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Allan Woodrow. She is survived by her children: son, Grant Williams; daughter, Heather Cashman and husband Shaun of Albuquerque; grandchildren Lotus, Matthew and Megan; her sister, Ann Woodrow Kane of Red Lodge, Montana; as well as several nephews and nieces. She was sunshine in the lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. A private family celebration of her life will be held later.
