VAUGHN, OLIVE LOIS Olive Lois Vaughn died peacefully in her home on November 26, 2014. Olive was born April 12, 1921 in the north valley of Albuquerque, where her parents Joseph and Sallie Clawson had a dairy farm. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1938 and married Vernon Vaughn on May 19, 1940. During World War II, Olive worked for the War Department in San Diego while Vern was overseas in the US Navy. They returned to Albuquerque after the war and had two children, Rodger Vaughn and Patricia Finley. Olive served as the Administrator for the New Mexico State Board of Pharmacy for 22 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Charles Finley of Los Lunas, NM; daughter-in-law Cheryl Vaughn of Ramah, NM; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Shannon and Joshua Brannan of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Elizabeth and Justin Chiwiwi of Savannah, GA; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Shirley Clawson of Wilmington, NC; brother-in-law Mel Lyons of El Paso, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was the loving heart of our family, and we will miss her. A celebration of her life will be held at Valley Lutheran Church, 3259 Hwy 47, Los Lunas, NM at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
