LLAMAS, RUTH C. age 61, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, went to sing with the angels Tuesday, November 25, 2014; her family was at her side. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years, Rudy Llamas Sr.; daughter, Angeline Llamas; son, Rudy Llamas Jr. and wife, Cathy; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Llamas; her treasures, her grandchildren, Eric Joel, Elizabeth, Eli, Jordan, Matthew, Melanie, Mikayla, Domonique, and Vincent; her loving and supportive family, brothers, Samuel Herrera Jr. and wife, Lucy, Paul Herrera, Patrick Herrera and wife, Virginia; mother-in-law, Romy Llamas; sisters-in-law, Patricia, Vivian, Priscilla, Sylvia, and Julie; brothers-in-law, Ruben, Ramon, Anthony, LeRoy, and Steven; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ruth was preceded in death, and greeted in Heaven by son, Fernando Llamas; parents, Samuel & Antonia Herrera; her twin sister, Ramoncita; and father-in-law, Ramon Llamas. Ruth graduated from West Mesa High School, Class of 1971 and retired from Sandia Labs in 2006. She was a talented photographer and jewelry maker. Ruth was a member of the Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. Ruth loved, cared for, and supported her family with all her heart and soul. It is her time to rest, sing with the angels and be forever young. Visitation will be Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 2:30 p.m. by Charlie Gallegos. Final visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
