LEYBA, EULALIA "LALA" Age 86, beloved, devoted and wonderful, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, has been called to heaven by our Heavenly Father to be reunited with her loving husband Macedonio Leyba and her beloved granddaughter, Cecilia Crespin-Khou. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ventura and Juana Soto; brothers, Rodolfo Soto, Miguel Soto; and sister, Maria L. Soto, all who were of Chihuahua, MX. Lala is survived by her loving children, Andy Leyba (Joan), Leticia Crespin (Cecil), Yolanda Teymoori, Ray Leyba and Rudy Leyba (Sheila); grandchildren, Chris, Mark, Andrea, Elizabeth, Alex, Erik, Andrew, Rudy Jr., Michael, Catherine and Andrew; special great-grandson Vincent; great-grandsons, Gabriel and Luke; great-granddaughters, Bonnie and Astrid. Also surviving are four sisters; and one brother all of Chihuahua, MX. Lala was always ready to do anything for each and every one of us. She was a devout Catholic and even in her weakened state insisted on going to Mass on Sundays. She will be fondly remembered for her love of music, reading, humor but most of all for her wonderful delicious cooking especially her red chile. Lala was a teacher and health care giver to her students in the rural towns of her native state of Chihuahua, MX. She learned to speak, write, and read English fluently shortly after moving to Albuquerque. Lala will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. A Rosary will be recited this evening (Sunday) at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The Angels, located on 8th Street and Iron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave., SW. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Andy Leyba, Ray Leyba, Rudy Leyba, Chris Leyba, Mark Crespin, Rudy Leyba, Jr., and Cecil Crespin. Honorary Bearers will be Vincent Crespin, Alex Teymoori, Erik Leyba, Andrew Leyba, Mike Leyba, and Meng Khou.
