CARUTHERS, VADA RUTH Age 87, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2014. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Darnell and husband Lance; grandsons Brock (Beth), Chad (Monica), Matt (Beth), Brendan and Quinn; granddaughters Kassi and Tessa; great-grandchildren Eli, Ava, Henry, Miles, Wyatt, Bijou and Omar; beloved niece Ula Karen; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Judson Caruthers and her son, Jud Carl Caruthers. Vada's passions were her family and serving others in her community and her church. She spent hours sending letters and cards of encouragement to family and friends for all occasions. Everyone who knew her, loved her and she will be greatly missed. Memorial service will be Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Mountainside Church of Christ, 12300 Indian School Rd NE. The family expresses thanks to Heritage Hospice and the Beehive in Edgewood for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mountainside Building Fund or St. Jude Hospital.
