LEYBA, JUANITA MARY Our Beloved Mother, Juanita Mary Leyba, 93, of Albuquerque went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. She was born in Sunset, AR to Clarence E. and Bertha Bridges. She was raised in Arkansas and Missouri and she came to Albuquerque in 1934 where she met her husband Leonard Leyba while working for his family's business. They married on November 15, 1936 in Albuquerque. She attended nursing college at Presbyterian Hospital and worked with the University of New Mexico hospital for 20 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. They attended Highland Assembly of God Church in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard in 2012, her parents and three sisters. She and Leonard were blessed with four children, Carol Bates and husband, Don; Larry Leyba and wife, Evelyn; Sharon Peckham and husband, Ken; and Rick Leyba and wife, Jean; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. The casket bearers will be her grandsons Brian Leyba, Phil Leyba, Kerry Bates, Scott Peckham, David Peckham and Mike Peckham. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
