ESCOBAR, LUCY Passed away in Albuquerque on October 16, 2014 after a long illness. Lucy was born in Havana, Cuba on July 6, 1941 and she emigrated to the United States in 1962. She settled in New York City where she met her husband and started her family. While living in New York, she worked for several large companies including General Electric and the New York City Transit Authority. In 1992, seeking a change, she moved to Florida, where she worked for the city of Homestead. In 1999 she relocated to Albuquerque with her husband and she spent her time in New Mexico with her family and volunteering at Lovelace Woman's Hospital. Lucy is survived by her husband Carlos, daughter Nellie Sanginari and husband, Kenneth, son Carlos Escobar Jr. and wife Tania, sister Zenaida Fevola and husband, Michael and her grandchildren, Dana, Dominic and Vincent. Lucy is being cremated by The Neptune Society in accordance with her wishes, and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Lobby Chapel at Lovelace Women's Hospital on Montgomery Boulevard.
