SAIZ, JOE PAT Age 68, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 3, 2014. He was born in Alameda, NM and was a resident of Lindrith, NM. Joe was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, who served his country during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post #54 in Lindrith, NM, and was a member of the honor guard for the American Legion in Cuba, NM. He was preceded in death by his father, Pat Saiz; and a son, Ernest Hubbell. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Bernice Saiz; his children, Donald Mann and wife Vickie, Diana Schmitt and husband Jerry, Elizabeth Ortega and husband Donathan, Megan Gonzales and companion Terry; his grandchildren, Douglas Chipley, Leslie Vagneur and husband Donny, Kristeena, Jessica and Michael Jr. Gonzales, special Sweetie Pie Mickayla Ortega; great-grandchildren, Sky, Kellin, and Jayden Vagneur. Joe will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Visitation will be held today (Tuesday) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW. Interment will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
