MENDOZA, MARLENE age 55, a resident of Albuquerque, when home to be with The Lord, Monday, September 29, 2014, with her loving family and friends at her side. Marlene was born July 14, 1959, to Ralph and Berna Mendoza. Marlene is survived by her parents, Ralph and Bernal Mendoza; her sons, Germain Thornton, and Angelo Lopez; her granddaughter, Angelique Thornton; sister, Martha Kelly and Manuel Saavedra; brothers, Ralph Mendoza, Arnold Mendoza and Glory; Carl Mendoza and Rose; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marlene was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jaden Marie Thornton; brothers, Leroy, Richard, Michael and Johnny Mendoza; her goddaughter, Desiree Mendoza; nephews, Michael and Rudy Mendoza; grandparents, Eloy and Ignacita Mendoza, Luciano and Esther Romero. Visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Edmund Savilla, presider. Private disposition will take place at a later date.
