ROMERO, JUAN JAVIER Age 39, a resident of Espanola, went to be with the Lord following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Carlos Orlando Romero; infant nephew, Angel Carlos Romero; maternal grandparents, Juan A. and Manuelita Ulibarri and paternal grandparents, George and Sally Romero. Juan loved fishing and hunting. He had a passion for wood carving and would make beautiful Spanish colonial furniture. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Mr. Romero is survived by his parents, Eloy and Jane Romero; nephews, Carlos Eloy Romero and Xavier Juan Romero; niece whom he considered a sister, Delilah Rain Romero and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada with a Mass of Christian burial to follow right after at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Carlos and Claudio Chacon, Aquelino Valdez, Jr., Armando "Hack Lucero, Tomas Sanchez and Larry Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Carlos, Jr., Xavier, niece, Delilah and friend, Tito Montoya.
