LUCERO, ELLA Ella (Rodarte) Lucero beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother passed away peacefully on September 13, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Pete Lucero. She is also survived by one son, Gilbert and one daughter, Donna and husband Robert Casaus. She had one granddaughter, Jayme (fiance, Kevin), who she loved dearly and her dog, Lucky. Mrs. Lucero also leaves behind three sisters: Corrine, Lorraine (partner, Henry), Mildred Alvarez (husband, Moises); sister-in-law Beverly Rodarte; and four brothers: Sammy (wife, Katie), Robert (Hope), Abel and Jerry Rodarte (partner, Edna). She also had many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reymundo and Celestina Rodarte. Ella was very much loved and will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She enjoyed family activities and was an active member in the Catholic Church. She also enjoyed Friday afternoon trips with her husband to the casino. She loved to cook, especially for holidays and special occasions where she made fresh tortillas for all who were there. She enjoyed gardening, and tending to her many flowers around her home. She enjoyed spending time with her only granddaughter on shopping days and teaching her how to cook and bake. She enjoyed daily visits from all her siblings. Ella's Life Celebration will begin on Tuesday with a 5:00 p.m. Viewing followed by a 6:00 p.m. Rosary at St. Therese Catholic Church (3424 Fourth NW 87107.) A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Rodarte, Henry (Hank) Rodarte, Norman Saavedra, Mark Bruno, Robert Casaus and Adrian Alvarez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Ray Perea and Antonio Martinez.
