RODRIGUEZ, JULIETTE JESSICA (JULIE) (Julie) Juliette Jessica Rodriguez was born on July 9, 1995; left this world to go to her heavenly home on September 11, 2014. Julie touched many people all over the world during her 19 years due to her difficult yet miraculous life. Her heart story brought many people together. At the age of eight years old she was placed on a list to received a heart transplant. On December 12, 2003 she received the heart of eight year old Jordan Rodriguez Horn who died due to a car accident. Thanks to Jordan and his family, Julie developed into a beautiful young lady with a feisty, determined and loving personality. Julie's life should be an inspiration to all of us. despite her many medical complications and physical suffering, she persevered; managed to receive her GED close to the time of her high school graduating class. She was also hired and worked at a local store. She had her own car, organized and carefully managed her own monies and was in the process of moving into her own apartment. Julie will be missed greatly by her biological family; Jordan's family; her extended medical family; and many special friends and all who reached out to help and pray for her and her family. Her hearts and soul will be forever linked to all of us. Julie had been living in Silver City, NM, but spent alot of time living at UNM Children's Hospital. The family is extremely grateful to her medical family for the care and love they gave to Julie; especially to Pam and Doctor Love. Services for Julie will be held in Silver City, NM on Tuesday, September 16 and Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Terrazas Funeral Home in Silver City, NM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Julie's name/ memory to UNM Children's Hospital Pediatric Specialty Care Unit. Julie was preceded in death by her heart brother, Jordan Rodriguez Horn; and her paternal grandparents, Martha and Jose Rodriguez. She is survived by her parents, Jesus (Jessie) and Margaret (Margie) Rodriguez; her biological brothers, Lawrence and Andres; maternal grandparents, Glenda, Abie and his wife Fidela; paternal aunt and uncles, Joe, Martha and Greg,; maternal aunts and uncle, Ben, Michelle, and Anthony, Monica, Maria; her great-aunt and uncles, Valencia, Henry Michael; her nieces Evelyn and Amillia, whom she loved dearly; 13 first cousins, Colin, Deklin, Valerie, Joey, Pamela, Samantha, Alicia, Michael, Miranda, Marissa, Jeremey, Jasleen, and Gabriella; and many other special cousins, relatives and friends. Julie is also survived by her devoted companion/ service dog, Lolie.
