MILLER, RONALD LEE Age 74, a long time Albuquerque resident, died at his home July 15, 2014 with his beloved wife, Nancy, at his side, following a months-long battle with cancer. Ron moved with his parents and brother to Albuquerque in 1946 from his native Oklahoma. His late father, Arnold Miller, was a well-known home builder in Albuquerque, and Ron spent his high school summers working as a laborer on his father's construction projects, learning the profession. Ron graduated from Highland High School in 1957 and attended the University of New Mexico. Responding to the urge to build homes, Ron soon obtained his general contractor license and opened Ronald Miller Construction Co. Ron was known for his attention to detail, and he took special pride in the quality of his construction projects. He built custom homes in nearly every neighborhood of the city and, late in his career, he specialized in home construction in the Four Hills area. He also worked in rehabilitation of commericial properties all across the city. Though Ron's work schedule limited his time for hobbies, he found working in his yard relaxing. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Joan Miller, and his brother, Larry. He is survived by his wife, Nancy and his nieces, Jennifer and Kathy. He also is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gary A. and Patricia McVicker and their two daughters, Dianna Lynn Keiser and Lauren Lee McVicker. Ron was happiest while at home and will be missed by his loving family. Ron was buried at Sunset Memorial Park in a private ceremony at his request. FRENCH - Lomas 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
