RAPHAEL, CHRISTOPHER JAN was born August 10, 1973 in Elyria, Ohio. He passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his home in Albuquerque at the age of 40, after a long battle with cancer. Chris honorably served his country in the US Navy, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. He was very active and involved in officiating and coaching children's sports, something he thoroughly enjoyed volunteering for. As well, Chris was a member of the Warrior Brotherhood Veteran Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beverly Stotts; maternal grandparents, Charles and Sally White and by his sister, Chrissy. Chris is survived by his mother, Linda Raphael; father, Jan Raphael; brother, Camren Raphael; spouse, Jennifer Pulford-Raphael; sons, Elijah Benton and Ethan Raphael; daughter, Olivia Raphael; aunt, Brenda Christianson; as well as numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and many friends who loved and will miss him greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd. NW, on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 1:00pm with US Navy Retired Honors. He will be interred in the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2:15pm. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW. ABQ., NM. 87107.
