BELTRAMO, MARTHA ELLEN (FINGER) Martha Ellen (Finger) Beltramo, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1991, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, following a 13 month illness. Born December 7, 1956, in Milwaukee, WI to Dr. and Mrs. William and Nancy (Leypoldt) Finger, Martha grew up in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. She was predeceased by her mother, Nancy Leypoldt Finger; father, William Adolph Finger, M.D.; and siblings, Elizabeth Anne Finger and William Walter Finger. She is survived by siblings, Karla Finger, Paul Finger, Matthew Finger, Christopher Finger; and her stepmother, Mary Finger. She is also survived by her niece, Sarah Harwell; nephew, Nathaniel Finger; aunts, an uncle, and numerous cousins and their children. Since July 1994, Martha was employed by the University of New Mexico Hospital Psychiatric Center. During her twenty-three years as a Psychiatric Case Manager and since 2008 as the department's Supervisor, she touched the lives of numerous individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses. Martha passionately served as an advocate seeking to help her clients find their voices in their personal journeys of recovery from substance abuse and mental illness. Martha was barrels of fun, wicked smart, and we are going to miss her! A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at the Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living, 2801 Louisiana Blvd. NE 87110. Memorials may be made to The Children's Grief Center of New Mexico (www.childrensgrief.org ). Based on her personal life and work experience, Martha chose this organization because of the invaluable healing gift the Center provides to children, teens, and adults experiencing loss and grief.
