SCHLIENTZ, REBA J. Age 80, a longtime resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Tucumcari, died June 25, 2014. She is survived by her children, Darla Humphreys of Albuquerque, and Steve Schlientz and wife Brenda of Davidsonville, MD; five grandchildren: Lindsay Humphreys (spouse Blake Moore) and children Bryson and Lenna, Ryan Schlientz, Allison Golightly (spouse Daniel) and children Jerran, Kaylah, Kole and Kody, David Schientz and Mark Humphreys; her sister, Marilyn "Mickey" Miracle; nieces and nephews. Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Schlientz; her parents; and her half-sister, Dixie Ann Houchins. Reba always strongly supported her husband during his service as Mayor of Tucumcari, and as a New Mexico State Senator. In addition, Reba served as the Chair of the New Mexico Republican Women. Reba was self-educated, a life learner, avid reader, and a caring mother. She was known for her sharp wit, great sense of humor and loyalty to her friends and family. Reba's family would like to thank caregivers, Sister Theresa and Vilma Salas, Comfort Keepers and Hospice of New Mexico. Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE (Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte).
