MCCORMICK, DAVID M. Age 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died suddenly Tuesday, May 20th, 2014. He is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Gayle, of Albuquerque; children, Megan McCormick of Albuquerque, Adam McCormick of Austin, TX, Kyle McCormick of New York, NY, and Todd MacNaughton, of Washington State; grandchildren Madeline Blake, Jack Vagi and Henry Vagi, all of Albuquerque, and Zoe MacNaughton of Washington; five brothers, Richard and wife, Leslie of Newport, WA, Mike and wife, Susan of Huntington Beach, CA, Peter and wife, Linda of Newport, WA, James of CA, and Steve and wife, Helen of Newport, WA; and he has nine nieces and nephews. David was raised in Hawaii and loved his time near the water. He had many hobbies, including fly-fishing, sailing, hunting, painting, miniature ship building and his latest, astronomy. He loved to travel. David was an Army helicopter pilot and served in Vietnam. He was owner of Hydra-Crete, Inc., which he started in the early 70's. David also served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, and friend and he will be missed by many. Services will be held Thursday, May 29 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the National Diabetes Association.
