NIMS, PAUL L. Paul L. Nims, 74, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2014 following his struggles with COPD. A reception in his honor will be held 2pm on Saturday, April 26th at his favorite stomping ground "Hanna's Kitchen" in New Braunfels where he ate breakfast almost every day for the last 20 years and made special friendships. The family will have a private ceremony where his remains will be spread in Colorado. Paul was born in Wellesley, Mass. on January 15, 1940. He retired in 2005 from Commercial Metals Company where he was a Detail Manager for over 24 years. He enjoyed traveling the mountains of Colorado, riding dirtbikes, reminiscing about the days he raced motorcycles and his love for his dogs Coke, Popcorn and Peanut who preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his committed and loving life partner for over 20 years, Martha Gilbreath; his three daughters, Michele Ontiveros and son-in-law Robert, Danielle Fattor and son-in-law Todd and JessYvonne Logan and son-in-law Steven Little; his 8 grandchildren Kristina Jacobs, Kylie Rossner and husband Joshua, Bobby Ontiveros, Austin Ontiveros, Lindsay Fattor, Joe Fattor, Julia Logan-Wheeler and Lukas Logan-Little; the rest of his family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia A. Nims. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to your local Humane Society in Paul's name for his love of animals. The family of Paul Nims wishes to thank the staff at Park Valley Inn as well as his doctor and personal friend Dr. Phillip Rinn.
